Legal
Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of legacypathlaw.com. Please read them before relying on anything published here.
Acceptance
By accessing or using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
No legal advice
Everything on this website, including practice area pages, articles, checklists, and downloadable resources, is general information published for educational purposes. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer about your specific situation. Laws differ by state and change over time, and small differences in facts often change the answer. Do not act, or refrain from acting, based solely on what you read here.
No attorney-client relationship
Viewing this website, downloading a resource, completing a form, booking a consultation, or sending us an email does not create an attorney-client relationship. We represent a client only after we have run a conflicts check, agreed to take the matter, and both parties have signed a written engagement agreement. Until then, please do not send confidential information.
Attorney advertising
This website may be considered attorney advertising in some jurisdictions. Legacy Path Law, LLC is a Florida limited liability company. Our attorneys are licensed in the jurisdictions identified on their individual biography pages and do not seek to practise law in jurisdictions where they are not admitted. Prior results do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome in any future matter.
Fees and payments
Flat fees quoted on this website, such as $699 for LLC formation and $1,500 for a trademark application covering one mark in one class, cover only the services expressly listed on the relevant page. They do not include government filing fees, such as state formation fees or USPTO application fees, which are paid to the agency concerned. Fees shown are current at the time of publication and may change. The fees that apply to your matter are the ones set out in your signed engagement agreement, which controls if it differs from this website.
Payments made through this website are processed by Clio on its own secure platform and are subject to Clio's terms. Payment of a fee does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship.
Third-party links and services
This website links to third-party sites and tools, including our scheduling and payment portals. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
Intellectual property
The content, layout, graphics, and logo on this website are owned by Legacy Path Law, LLC or used with permission and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your own personal or internal business use. You may not republish, sell, or redistribute our content, or use our name or logo, without our written permission.
Downloadable resources
Templates, checklists, and guides offered on this website are provided "as is" for general educational use. They are not tailored to your circumstances, may not suit your state, and do not come with legal advice or a lawyer's review unless you separately engage us to provide one.
Accuracy and availability
We try to keep this website accurate and current, but we make no warranty that it is complete, error-free, or up to date. We may change or remove content at any time and cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legacy Path Law, LLC and its attorneys and staff are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website or its content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including obligations owed to actual clients under applicable rules of professional conduct.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute concerning this website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Pinellas County, Florida.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms at any time. The version posted when you use the site is the version that applies.
